Terms & Conditions


These policies serve as the contract between the customer and JLee Bakery. By submitting payment, the customer is agreeing to the these policies in full. *Policies are subject to change without notice*


JLee Bakery while specialize in French Macarons which can be naturally Gluten Free, is not an allergen-free service. We do our very best to ensure our GF products do not contain Gluten. However, equipment may come in contact with allergens including, but not limited to, peanuts, tree nuts, wheat, dairy, eggs, fruits, soy, fish, and shellfish. JLee Bakery cannot prevent cross-contamination in the preparation area. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to notify all consumers of allergen risks.


JLee Bakery is to be held harmless for any allergic reactions resulting from it’s services.




JLee Bakery is not responsible for any damage to the cake after pick up or after delivery and set up at which point the customer assumes full responsibility for the condition of the items. JLee Bakery is not responsible for any damages to the item(s) caused by a guest, caterer, event staff, or any other person not affiliated with JLee Bakery.


Pick-up will occur on a day and time previously agreed upon by both JLee Bakery and the customer. The pickup time will be confirmed via email or instant message 24 to 48 hours before midday on the event date. Pickup is always held in the Parking Lot of Mystic Luxury Cinemas in The Olde Mystic Village. I always aim to park in the first row in the parking lot, look for JLee Bakery branding on the car. Please plan accordingly and have a spot prepared in car for item. (Note: in the hotter months it is important to keep item away from body heat and to turn AC up.)


Delivery is available for free within 10 mi. of Mystic, CT, and is available with a fee outside that range. The maximum delivery range is 25 miles outside of Mystic, CT, unfortunately, we cannot accommodate anything farther. The total amount of the fee is based upon the distance from the venue or residence and the legal address of JLee Bakery located in Mystic, CT. The delivery fee will be no less than $10.00 but will not exceed $75.00 in total. JLee Bakery will work with the customer and venue, as necessary, to coordinate a fair and agreed upon delivery time window.


Set up may include placing a cake on a stand, the addition of decor furnished by the customer (such as, but not limited to, toppers, fresh flowers, etc.), arranging cupcakes, etc. It is up to the discretion of JLee Bakery to determine that a cake stand or table/surface is unfit to bear the weight of an item. In such a case, the delivery staff person will place the item on a suitable surface as determined by the delivery staff person at which point the responsibility of displaying the item will be the responsibility of the customer. 


The items should never be displayed in direct sunlight or where sunlight may eventually move to. Humidity and heat will adversely affect the items. In the warmer months (average outdoor temperature of 72°F or greater) it is encouraged to keep the items in a refrigerator, air conditioned room, or a cooler area. Due to the effects of outdoor weather conditions, table on un-even ground, wind blowing undesirable atmospheric items (such as, but not limited to, dirt, leaves, branches, etc.), sunlight, insects, or items caused by these outdoor weather conditions or heat including, but not limited to, “sweating” (water condensation), running of colors, melting buttercream, sliding decorations, etc.



Custom orders include occasions such as birthdays, graduations, anniversaries, baby showers, bridal showers, "just because", etc. Weddings are excluded from event orders and are subject to their own policy.


A Custom order is not considered booked until either a 50% deposit has been submitted OR (if its a small order) you will receive a written confirmation that a deposit is not necessary and that your order is confirmed. If a deposit is necessary,  it is required to be submitted no later than 7 days prior to event date. All orders must be confirmed no later than 2 weeks prior to the event date. Meaning if an order form must be submitted at least 2 1/2 weeks prior, to leave time for a response and to discuss the order before confriming!



A wedding order is not considered booked until a non-refundable deposit in the sum of $100.00 of the total balance including delivery and setup charges is paid for orders placed greater than 30 days before the wedding date. Orders placed within 30 days of the wedding need date will be considered booked with payment in full. 

The balance of the deposit must be received within the following time frames. Deposits should be received within 72 hours of email invoice or Venmo request receipt. Final payments are due 7 days prior to the event need date. A 5% late fee will be charged each week the final payment is late. 


There is a $250.00 minimum for booking wedding orders. Wedding Orders are to be paid through Venmo or PayPal only, NO CASH.




JLee Bakery reserves the right to take and use their own photographs of your items to use for marketing and promotional purposes without compensating the customer. Photographs of the finished and decorated items will not be posted to social media prior to the event date




JLee Bakery promises a product of high quality and service, but is not liable for unforeseen circumstances including, but not limited to, inclement weather, transportation problems, illness, accidents, labor disputes or strikes, Acts of God, and other causes beyond reasonable control. A delay in transit shall not constitute grounds for  a credit, discount, or refund.
